I would have said 'Watchtower' but brilliant call by Vinny on 'I Heard it through the Grapevine'. Always a good sign when you forget they were actually covers. Patti Smith 'Because the Night' too.

Against the grain on here although fully agree with Radio Two's choice of Pet Shop Boys. A total reworking and a camp classic, great stuff.
Surprised this isn't rated up there too though, Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Night. Epic tune, emotional and rawness in Cobains voice is mesmerising.

Drop 19s! wow, that's a blast from the past. had their album, Delaware, when i was a kid and loved the acoustic guitar and simple girl vocal track. can't remember it, will come to me. "in the end, i think it's better the second time around".
